Lambeau Field has been the stadium of Green Bay Packers for the last 40 years and is on the most historical stadiums in  the NFL league. Since,  the Packers were formed in 1920 they played at East Stadium till 1952. The team moved into the new County Stadium in Milwaukee which was also the home of Milwaukee Braves (an MLB team) till 1957. The Packers played their first game at City Stadium on September 29, 1957. They have also played many games at County Stadium till 1994. Since 1957 the Stadium has undergone many up gradations increasing its seating capacity to 38,000 in 1961 and 42,000 in 1965. City Stadium was rechristened Lambeau Field, after the death of the Packers founder, E.L. Lambeau. Presently the stadium has a capacity of 72,515 seats inclusive of  1,900 club seats . The City stadium has grass surface and was constructed at a cost of $960,000. In its existence of 40 years, the stadium has been an eyewitness to  many historical moments in NFL League history. The first NFL Championship game was played in Green Bay in 1961 and the "ICE BOWL" tournament in December 1967 when the temperature dropped to 13 degrees below normal.
