The Lions share Ford Field Stadium with three other NFL teams. Earlier for two decades they played at Silverdome Stadium in Pontiac. The Detroit Tigers, lions and MI agreed to have a stadium for themselves in downtown Detroit in the mid of 1990's. The stadium was named Camera park and was constructed over  a span of two years from 1997-1999. Later the Ford company bought its naming rights and rechristened it Ford Field Stadium. The first game to inaugurate the stadium was played on September 22, 2002 against the Green Bay Packers. Ford Stadium has 65,000 seats. It  has 140 luxury suites and 7,000 club seats. The Stadium has a Field Turf and was built at a cost of $430 million. Ford Field Stadium was also awarded Super Bowl XL.
