MIAMI DOLPHINS INFORMATION
Miami Dolphins
make a home stand from Orange Bowl Stadium.
The rumors are
up that running back player Ricky Williams has disobeyed the NFL's
substance-abuse policy for the second time since he joined the team
in 2002. He is suspected of taking marijuana.
The Dolphins got a new offensive coordinator this week.
Chris Foerster, earlier coach of Tight End's was brought in place of Joel
Collier.
The team has its
player S. Morris out of action for being injured. Other Payers as E.
Perry and E. Moore are out of the team for having injured left knee
and left foot respectively.
Miami Dolphins
have won 10 and lost 6 games so far till last season.
The team would
be next playing against Denver in August.
Orange
Bowl Stadium has been home for Miami Hurricanes for the last 60 years and it has
witnessed some great moments in the game of football. The construction
of the stadium was completed in one year at a cost of $340,000 and was earlier
known as Burdine Stadium. The stadium was inaugurated on December 10, 1937 when
Miami Hurricane played their first game against Georgia. Burnies Stadium was
rechristened Orange Bowl in 1959 and Miami Dolphins played their first game at
the stadium on September 2, 1966. It can accommodate around 72,319 fans. The
stadium has a grass surface to play.
Despite
missing the playoffs, the Dolphins had a strong year in 2003,
finishing with a record of 10-6. It just wasn’t quite enough to
make the playoffs in the very deep AFC. The Dolphins got very
good play out of veteran Ricky Williams, and explosive wide
receiver Chris Chambers. Although they lost Brian Griese in the
off-season, the quarterback controversy looks to continue with
the acquisition of Eagles backup A.J. Feeley. Feeley played well
in replacement of an injured Donovan McNabb in the 2002 playoffs
and is hoping to battle for the starting job with incumbent Jay
Fiedler.
The Dolphins are looking to make
great improvements on their offensive line with the drafting
of Miami University alum Vernon Carey. Carey is a monster of a
guard and is looking to contribute right off the bat.
We have tickets to Miami Dolphins
games including all home games and even away games against
division rivals like the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Super
Bowl champion New England Patriots.
